West Highland Way Challenge Race
When: May 30th – 31st, 2020
Website: West Highland Way Challenge Race
Already, over 100 entrants have signed up for the annual West Highland Way Challenge race (WHWCR), taking place in May this year.
This ultra-trail-marathon event uses the whole 96-mile route of the West Highland Way. With all entrants setting off at one-second past midnight, competitors will aim to cross the finish line in Fort William with the 35-hour time limit. However, if you finish in under 30-hours, you have the option to climb/descend Ben Nevis, and return to the finish station – but still within 35-hours. And, if you needed a little motivational challenge; to this date, only one person has completed the WHW & Ben Nevis race…

If competition isn’t your thing, then why not merely walk it your way and raise money for a charitable cause at the same time?
Carr Gomm is hoping to fundraise a total of £60,000 from over 100 people who are embarking on something extraordinary or a new challenge. You can sign yourself and friends up to walk the West Highland Way this year, and raise money to help tackle loneliness and isolation in communities across Scotland.
